best christmas events in indianapolis

With Thanksgiving all but a distant memory, Indianans can finally set their sights on the Christmas season. Christmas is a big deal in the middle, and it always has been. Not only is Indiana the setting for the greatest Christmas movie ever made – A Christmas Story – it continues to uphold longstanding holiday traditions, as well as usher in new ones every year. This year is no exception.

A mixture of old classics and new favorites – Indianapolis has Christmas events that will inspire awe and wonder in all.  Central Indiana’s HVAC leader for over 30 years, Action Air has built a reputation for providing stellar service at a fair and honest price. What better way to kick the season off right than with 80 glittering and twinkling Christmas trees? The Festival of Trees features old Christmas favorites like the Sugarplum Fairy and Santa’s Sleigh as well as new Christmas charms like the Champagne Bottle tree. There’s even a Christmas tree based on the award-winning Netflix show Stranger Things. In addition to the forest of brightly lit Christmas trees, there is also an Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt and the Weihnachtzgurke – where the whole family can get their pickle hunt on. They’ll also be a decoding challenge while you try and not shoot your eye out. To get you in the mood, we’ll kick things off with A Christmas Story trivia question of our own. In the 1983 film A Christmas Story, what did the Parkers eat for Christmas dinner? If you said turkey, you’re wrong. It was duck! A Christmas Story Day is December 22, 10 AM – 4 PM 450 W.
