We’re all about keeping you warm and comfortable through cold winter months. But for Valentine’s Day, an awesome heating system won’t be enough to express your love and affection to your sweetheart. It’s time to heat things up, and we’ve got some simple ideas to help.
Cuddle & Snuggle
You don’t have to spend money to be romantic. Break out the blankets and snuggle up while enjoying a movie marathon, or binge-watch that television series you’ve been wanting to see. And for an added theater-style touch, don’t forget the popcorn and candy.
Spice It Up
Try out a new recipe and whip up an amazing dinner using exotic spices to heat up the palette. Create a theme, and set the table with coordinating linens and center pieces. Consider creating a Mexican, Spanish or Latin American dish, and go bold!
Build a Fort
Forts aren’t just for kids. Surprise your honey by building a romantic, cozy fort made of sheets and blankets. Warm it up inside by adding strands of twinkly lights, and fill it with pillows and blankets. Have a picnic. Play music. Tell stories of your childhood, talk about your dream vacation or make up new stories with fictional characters. Let your child-like imagination go wild.
Light a Fire
If weather permits, build a campfire outdoors and roast marshmallows for yummy s’mores. Wrap up in blankets and stare at the stars. Look for the big dipper and enjoy some hot cocoa. If it’s too cold outside, gather around an indoor fireplace and sip on a steamy drink. Play music or even board games and enjoy the ambiance.
Get Moving
Surprise your love by creating a dance floor in your own living room. Rearrange the furniture, make a special play list of romantic songs and slow dance the night away. Decorate with crepe paper and balloons, or make a banner and pretend like it’s prom night. Take pictures, buy a corsage or boutonniere … dress up or wear your pajamas, and have fun!
Set the Mood
Nothing warms up a room like candles. Fill up your space with the soft light of flickering flames (and make sure some of them are scented). Scatter some rose pedals and play soft music. Add some flameless lanterns, or leave love notes or letters where your sweetheart will find them.
Whatever you do, we hope you have a lovely holiday. We hope your heart is full, and as always, let us know if we can assist you with your heating and cooling needs. Happy Valentine’s Day!
