It’s All in the Timing

Yesterday, Indianapolis residents were wearing short sleeves. Today, we wake up to sleet and snow. That’s Indiana weather for you, but the last thing you need on these cold days … “Honey, it’s freezing in here. Why isn’t the furnace coming on?”

On the first really cold day last season, I received WAY too many calls from folks who had no heat. A couple of these families had been thinking about replacing their furnace … but decided to wait.

Now their furnace was dead … their home and family were freezing cold AND … they were forced to pay full price for an emergency furnace replacement.

Truth be told, any one of these folks could have easily avoided this nightmare if they had just called Action Air in the Fall, BEFORE the cold weather set in.

Now is the time – between seasons – where things are just a little bit slower for us. Because of this, we reach out to friends and neighbors (like you) with discounted heating system services and equipment replacement deals.

There are good reasons to consider replacing your furnace (even if it’s only 10 years old):

  • Safety – older or poorly maintained furnaces can be fire hazards. And carbon monoxide poisoning is another serious – and invisible – threat.
  • Reliability/Costs – repair costs can add up if you are constantly repairing your furnace. Plus, if some rooms are colder than others, or if heating bills have recently gone up (more than just from expensive fuel costs), it may be time for a furnace replacement.

BUT, first things first … you may NOT need a new furnace! (So, let us check it out for you.)

If you’ve been thinking about replacing your furnace, schedule an appointment with Action Air. We’ll check out your entire heating system and let you know where you stand.  You’ll find out whether the furnace just needs a tune-up, some minor repairs or… if a new system makes sense.

So schedule your furnace appointment today online, or give us a call at 317-451-4371 so you’ll be ready (and toasty warm) when cold days like today keep sneaking up on us.
